Welcome to our website. Here you will be able to find suppliers of all types of Halogen Floor
Lamps
Halogen floor lamps are popular designs because of the type of light they produce.
However, they do pose safety risks. You should be aware of these risks before setting up your
newly-purchased lamp. In particular, heat and fire concerns should keep you from placing the lamp
somewhere where it could come into contact with anything flammable.
Halogen floor lamps operate at much higher temperatures than a standard incandescent light bulb. Never
place a halogen floor lamp where it could come in contact with draperies, clothing or other combustible
materials. Be sure to turn the lamp off whenever you leave the room for an extended period of time and
never use touchier lamps in children's bedrooms or playrooms .
Halogen floor lamps are also good for studying as reading lights or a spotlight only - not as the main
source of light for a room. Major halogen lamps will usually beam their light directly on the ceiling, which
reflects it all through the room. The incompetence of this process demands that such lamps be more powerful
than the specialized lamps. This process is also a misuse of the lamps' accurate focus of light beams, and
restricts them to rooms with whitish or brightly colored ceilings that have no texture.
Note that halogen floor lamps should be chosen as a reading light or a spotlight only - not as
a primary source of light for a room. Primary halogen lamps shine their light directly on the ceiling and
depend on the usually white ceiling to reflect that light throughout the room. Due to the inefficiency of
this process, these lights must be much more powerful than a more specialized lamp. Also, this application
wastes the halogen lamp's ability to accurately focus light in a tight beam, and they are restricted to rooms with
white or light color ceilings that lack texture.
Halogen floor lamps are ideal to use as reading lights or lights that will help you see anything clearly and in
bright color. Because halogen bulbs give off a pure white light, that preserves the color and clarity of
whatever they illuminate.
When you're choosing a floor lamp, remember to consider stability and position. Many floor lamps are
precarious, especially on carpeting, so be sure to place them in an out-of-the-way area where they will be safe
from bumping or tripping. Remember to check the type of bulb required as well, as fluorescent and halogen floor lamps will require different types of bulbs.
